Collecting Nature

One of my very favorite things to do is to go exploring and gathering. I go to parks, lakes, fields,  really anywhere that there might be something interesting. This has become my go-to way of reconnecting with the energy of nature. And let me tell you, there is ALWAYS something of interest and beauty to be found. I've been bringing home stones, feathers, sticks, and botanical bits for quite some time now, and honestly I really didn't have a good way of storing them. I was at a local craft store when I saw all the pretty apothecary bottles and jars and had an epiphany: I should make curiosity jars with some of the stuff!!! I bought just a few to test out the sizes and shapes and to do a little experimenting. Now, I'm totally in love with this concept and will definitely be going back for more jars and bottles soon! I love the "old world" feel it gives to my specimens making them seem even more mysterious and intriguing. So, fellow nature collectors, if you're looking for a way to display and store some of your collection... here you go! The possibilities are endless! :) XOXO
