Handmade 108 Bead Malas

Hello Lovelies!

I want to let everyone know that I've officially got Malas in the shop! You may remember me mentioning a while back ago that making Malas was on my list of things to learn this Fall and I'm blessed to have found the time to do exactly that! Okay, so I've been sick and its something I can do while resting... but anyhow... I've had a long love affair with earthy gemstones, and my recent deeper exploration of yoga makes this act of creation the perfect fit for me at this time. I'm wholeheartedly enjoying creating them - the whole entire process! I love choosing the beads, then laying out and planning each Mala, then the slow meditative process of making each one. (It takes about 2 full hours but it really doesn't feel like work at all) Then of course, they need to be styled and photographed. They're so photogenic! Then lastly, they need to be listed and described. I love consulting my books and researching the meaning of the different stones. I'm so happy that I decided to add these into my shop. I truly feel and believe that as I'm making each one, it's already calling out to its intended owner and that it will find its way home!

I've chosen to make my Malas the traditional 108 bead style, which is actually 113 beads when finished if you count the 4 marker beads and the Guru bead. These are hand knotted between each and every bead. They are very time consuming to create, so I doubt I'll ever have a large quantity for sale at any given time. But, please check out what I have! I'll be adding more as they get made.

Love and Light and Namaste :) Xoxo
